Security and Maintenance Officer

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in, amongst others:

Monitor public access and ensure the security of all staff and visitors.
Monitor and patrol the premises regularly to ensure the safety and security of the property.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
Report any suspicious activities or security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
Ensure all security systems, such as CCTV and alarms, are functioning properly.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work and general repairs.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and report any major repairs needed accordingly.
Ensure that maintenance tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Maintain and care for the garden areas, including planting, watering, weeding and pruning.
Ensure the health and appearance of plants, shrubs and trees.
Design and implement seasonal planting schemes to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
Use gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Undertake any other work-related tasks assigned by the management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in security and maintenance related fields will be considered an advantage.
Minimum two (2) years of related work experience in security and maintenance roles.
Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
Familiarity with gardening techniques and equipment.
Team player with observational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, proact and work well under pressure.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent command of the English and Greek Languages, both verbal and written.
