This role is about:

We are growing our legal team and are looking to hire a Legal Counsel with 5+ years post-qualification experience, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial law, have exposure to a variety of business agreements with the ability to both multitask and have exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines.

You will:

• Provide ongoing legal support to our Cyprus and overseas offices
• Draft, review, and negotiate payment services-related agreements, including but not limited to merchant acquirer agreements, payment services partnership agreements with third parties, and PSP agreements
• Handle a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership/vendor/software agreements, and merchant/referral/reseller agreements
• Advise on the development of policies, procedures, and controls as required
• Provide legal support in connection with the Company’s cross-border framework, including advising on the offering of services throughout Europe, the UK, and other regions
• Manage special projects as assigned by the Company while continuing to handle day-to-day legal matters
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in different departments and locations, assisting in various projects

What we need:

• Strong academic record with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a related industry, or in legal practice with fintech clients
• Extensive experience in commercial/technology contracts, e-commerce/payments, and data privacy is highly desirable
• Experience with Card Schemes is a significant advantage
• Financial services regulatory experience is beneficial
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
