Job Description
Our client is a well established fully regulated retail broker with offices in Cyprus and London. They are seeking to hire an IT Specialist to join their team in Limassol.
Responsibilities:
Desktop Support and System Administration
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot PC and systems for employees.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware components.
- Provide technical support and training to employees on IT-related issues.
Network Management
- Design, implement, and manage wired and wireless network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.
Email and Communication Systems
- Set up and manage company email accounts.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the companys communication systems.
- Provide support for video conferencing tools and other communication software.
Equipment Monitoring
- Monitor the health and performance of IT equipment, ensuring they are operational and meet the business requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of IT equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Security and Compliance
- Implement security protocols to protect company data and sensitive information.
- Regularly update and patch systems to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Ensure IT operations align with company’s compliance policies and industry standards
Vendor and Asset Management
- Collaborate with vendors to procure IT equipment and services.
- Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets and manage equipment lifecycle.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document IT processes, protocols, and configurations
- Generate regular reports on IT operations, performance, and issues for senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in IT operations or relevant roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, and other operating systems.
- Experience with network administration and network hardware tools.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
