The Information Security Specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on audits of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures. This role ensures that our information security policies, procedures, and controls protect the organization’s digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.

You will:

• Develop and implement audit plans to evaluate the effectiveness of information security controls
• Conduct audits of information systems, including networks, databases, and applications, to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with policies
• Perform risk assessments and identify areas of potential risk exposure
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of security controls in protecting information assets
• Recommend improvements to security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management
• Document audit processes, findings, and corrective actions taken
• Communicate audit results to stakeholders and provide guidance on remediation efforts
• Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to address security issues and implement corrective actions
• Support and guide internal teams on security best practices and compliance requirements
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes

What we need:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable
• Proven experience in information security auditing, risk management, or a related field
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, DORA. NIS2)
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
