About the Role
As Lead, you'll run projects end-to-end: scoping them with the head of product, planning the work, coordinating the engineers on it, and getting it into production. You'll stay hands-on in the code and architecture throughout. In a company of several hundred staff, you'll work directly with the CEO and CTO. No layers. No politics.
How We Work
Two to three days a week in the Paphos office for planning, architecture sessions, and time with the team. The rest is yours to focus.
What You'll Do
- Run engineering projects end to end: scoping, planning, priorities, and delivery
- Break the platform rewrite into clear, shippable pieces of work and keep them on track
- Work with the CEO and CTO to turn business requirements into a plan and working software
- Coordinate the engineers on your projects: unblock them, review code, and keep quality high
- Flag risks and trade-offs early, and keep stakeholders up to date on progress
- Stay hands-on across the stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL)
- Make architectural decisions with the CTO that will last
- Build tools that drivers, dispatchers, and operations teams rely on every day
Who You Are
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience, including projects you've led from start to finish
- Strong React experience and deep TypeScript/Node.js skills: comfortable designing APIs, data models, and system architecture
- Proven at running projects: scoping, estimating, managing trade-offs, and delivering predictably
- Comfortable guiding other engineers' work day to day
- Product-minded: you think about users first, not just code correctness
- Excellent communicator: you can talk to leadership about trade-offs and to engineers about implementation
- You care about craft and hold a high bar
