Job Description

The Role is about:

The Payroll Officer ensures accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong numerical skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Reporting to: Financial Controller

What You’ll Do:

* Process employee payroll with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely payments
* Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, tax information, and benefits
* Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and company policies
* Collaborate with People and Finance teams on employee compensation, benefits, and payroll adjustments
* Coordinate with payroll providers across different regions and manage foreign payroll and contractor payments
* Prepare payroll reports for management and auditors, monitoring costs against the budget
* Address and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies
* Process statutory submissions (e.g., taxes, social security, provident fund contributions) and ensure timely remittance
* Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and industry best practices
* Support any additional payroll-related tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller

You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations. Accuracy is your priority, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. You handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Your problem-solving mindset, strong numerical skills, and organizational abilities help you navigate payroll complexities with ease.

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field
* Experience: Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance

Skills:

* Strong numerical and analytical mindset
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Effective communication and organizational skills
* Nice to Have: Experience with the Pocket payroll system is a plus
