Job Description

Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, is seeking to recruit Groups, Conference & Events Executive

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing events, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors
  • Manages daily event reporting communications with other departments
  • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
  • Develops working relationships with outside vendors and establishes prices and service agreements to enhance the event experience and to increase additional revenue opportunities for the property
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc
  • Creates an atmosphere in all event management operations areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Events management or any other related field
  • 5+ years Previous Experience in the same or similar role in Hospitality Industry
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language
  • Strong F&B Knowledge (menus etc)
  • Knowledgeable at negotiating and sales
  • Confident at presenting presentations
