Job Description

Melco Resorts is looking to hire a Accountant, Fixed Assets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Supply Chain, Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams to ensure the timely entry of additions, disposals, depreciation and accruals for the General Ledger and the
  • Fixed Assets Register (FAR)
  • Prepares/reviews monthly reconciliations between the FAR and the General Ledger
  • Assists with tasks associated with the month end closing process as assigned by supervisors
  • Interacts with the Construction group and other departments to ensure fixed assets costs are properly classified and recorded
  • Prepares Project Cost reports and analysis
  • Produces accurate and timely financial reports (e.g. on additions, disposals, etc.) for use by management
  • Responsible for tagging of the Company’s assets
  • Conducts periodic physical stock take on the Company’s assets
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned by management

  • Data to be processed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Service standards are consistent with departmental expectations
  • Good working relationship with team members is maintained
  • A complete and thorough understanding of all Standard Operating Procedures is ensured



Education and Experience

  • Previous working experience in fixed asset accounting will be considered an advantage
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification, majoring in Accounting/Finance or other relevant field is essential
  • A recognized accounting qualification or studying for such a qualification will be considered an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards
  • Previous experience working in the Gaming and/or Hotel industry would be a benefit but not essential


Skills / Competencies

  • Good command of written and spoken English language
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieving reporting timelines
  • Good MS Excel knowledge, and proficiency with computer applications & accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and well organised
  • A high commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate interdisciplinary teams to achieve business objectives and common goals
  • Ability to adopt and implement new approaches and practices to meet changing circumstances
